The goings on of Salinas and the new farm hands

I've been fixin' to get out of the house for days! That nocount good for nothing husband of mine expects me to stay locked up starching and arning his coveralls. I've had aplenty of that,I'm burnt and tired of his shenanigans. Today, I ran out of the house while Curley was with his old man, so I could go and see what's been going on round these parts. I walked down to the barn where two new guys were bucking barley. There's one with bulging muscles who's so all fired tall I don't think he's even human. I swear he was bucking barley faster than I had ever seen but he stopped when I walked in. He wouldn't stop staring though I don't really blame him. I am a very vivacious woman! The other guy wasn't nothing special compared to the tall guy. They're a little weird and I've heard some rumor about them traveling together. It sounds fishy and I don't like the looks the little guy was giving me. I feel like something bad's gonna happen real soon and those two new farm hands are right at the center of it, but I can't investigate further. Curley found me but I am bound and determined to get out again.
